Introduction
My name is Nathan Blows and I am an A-Level Media student from the Fitzwimarc School in Rayleigh. My overall task is to create a music video. Along the way I will document my progress as I research techniques and information that will benefit my music video. I will also document my research on music videos to understand their importance and use them as inspiration for my own creative ideas.
I am on the far left of the picture. I am the bassist. Olly Davis (Middle) is the lead-guitarist and vocalist. Matt Terry (Right) is the drummer in the band. We have our own band called Caution. Being in a band is a real benefit to this task as I can incorporate my current ideas into the music video. The singer is comfortable singing in front of the camera so the lip-syncing will be realistic to create verisimilitude.
Another benefit of being in a band is that it allows us to be very creative and implement a lot of our current ideas we have.
This process isn't just about creating a music video. This process is also about learning about what makes a good music video and what makes a music video successful. The process also helps us to further develop our understanding of the music industry and learn about its importance and the history that film has been linked to music.
